Perhaps the most important awards ceremony in the gaming industry – The Game Awards 2024 – is slowly approaching. It will be the 10th anniversary edition of the event initiated and hosted by Geoff Keighley. The journalist announced on X that the nominations for the individual categories will be announced next Monday, November 18, at 9:00 a.m. PT.

The Game Awards 2024 event will take place in less than a month, on December 13 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. PT.

How successful was this year in terms of releases? Everyone would probably answer this question differently. The fact is, just like every year, this time we received several very good games that can compete for one or even a few statuettes.

Users frequently mention Stellar Blade as one of their nominations in the comments under the mentioned post. The South Korean studio Shift Up has truly surprised us by delivering a great title that has been especially loved by gamers.

Other games mentioned by them include Black Myth: Wukong, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Silent Hill 2, Astro Bot, and Metaphor: ReFantazio. It's worth adding other well-received titles to this list, such as Balatro or Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. We should also not forget that this year we received the highest-rated expansion in history, namely Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

Interestingly, most of the mentioned games are made by Asian devs, clearly indicating the dominance of this market in 2024.
